IWC Schaffhausen, a leading Swiss luxury watch manufacturer with a more than 150-year history is globally recognized for their Pilot’s watches. Well, they definitely upped the ante when they introduced the new Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar TOP GUN Lake Tahoe, as part of its “Colours of TOP GUN” collection.
The 46.5mm comes in a white ceramic case featuring a black dial and black hands coated with white Super-LumiNova®. Inspired by the white uniforms and the winter landscape around the freshwater Lake Tahoe, the mountainous area that pilots of the nearby TOPGUN flight school frequently fly over, the new IWC Big Pilot features a perpetual calendar complication at 6 with a patented double moon phase display at 12 o’clock that shows the moon as seen from the northern and the southern hemispheres. The IWC-manufactured 52615 caliber movement with a Pellaton winding system offers a 7-day power reserve and can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back.
Priced at $40,900, the Lake Tahoe edition features the hour and minute hands and all the indicators – including the four-digit year disc between the 7 and 8 o’clock position. It comes fitted with a white rubber strap.
