Offering a unique deep-blue lacquer painted dial with each piece, the new Reine de Naples 8967 by Mounters Breguet is a sight to behold, ladies. The Reine de Naples has long proven itself to be a well-appreciated collection for the Swiss luxury watch brand with its iconic elongated oval shape. Inspired by the first one which was created for Caroline Murat, nee Bonaparte, the Queen of Naples, in 1812, the latest edition comes with a finely-fluted steel caseband-individually numbered and signed Breguet-and the crown at 4 o’clock position. The blue-lacquered dial features the hour markers for the 6 and 12 o’clock in Arabic numerals, a signature that is typical of the Maison. The hours chapter-off-centre at 6 o’clock—adopt the shape of the case, and radiate engraved lines which are punctuated by faceted diamond shapes in silvered powder. The hands are coated in a luminescent material which offers a blue shade in the dark. Equipped with the manual-winding 591C calibre-that is visible through the sapphire caseback-the Reine de Naples 8967 comes on an indigo blue denim fabric strap which off-sets the blue scrolls of the dial beautifully, making it fit for the contemporary queen of today.
