Informal Interactions With Sarah Parks

Can you please share with our readers how you maintain your work-life balance?

It’s fair to say that I love my work, and I thrive on meeting all the amazing people across the digital infrastructure industry; sharing stories and experiences really does give me energy and inspiration.

With a busy working life, I do often find myself racing around to squeeze as much as possible into my own time. I like to keep active with street defense classes—which not only gets my heart pumping but really empowers me—and golf, which is one of the most frustrating sports I have ever tried, but I’m persevering! Finding time for the gym is challenging, but I do try a couple of times a week, even if it’s just for 30 minutes of craziness.  For balance and in complete contrast, I also take Pilates classes which benefit my mind, body, and soul. But I’ve always been a nature lover, I find nothing more relaxing for my mind than pottering in my garden, growing my own veg, and making the garden look fantastic ready to enjoy with friends and family on those sunny barbecue days. I’m driven and determined in every aspect of my life, so reaping what I sow really does suit me down to the ground, and it feeds my love of good food too doesn’t?
