Swiss Maison Blancpain unveils two new Métiers d’Art models in a Boutique edition for Taiwan. The Formosa Clouded Leopard offers a journey through cultures with its excellent craftsmanship and fine watchmaking skills. Considered a spiritual icon by the Paiwan aboriginal people, the Formosa Clouded Leopard timepieces integrate the expert artistic skills of porcelain, miniature enamel painting, Shakudo, engraving and damascening. The Métiers d’Art Porcelaine features the Formosa clouded leopard enamel painted on porcelain dial. It is framed by a 33mm white gold case in 18ct circled with a row of diamonds on the bezel.
The second piece, has an image of the leopard, along with other foreground elements, taking the form of a gold applique hand-engraved using the centuries-old Japanese art form called ShakudÍ. The watch comes in a 45mm red gold case that houses the Manufacture 1154 self-winding calibre which can be viewed through the sapphire crystal caseback adorned with a C™tes de Genve motif.
The Métiers d’Art Porcelaine, too, is fitted with the same in-house manufacture movement. Both the feline inspired beauties are unique timepieces that are sure to inject sophistication to your sartorial sensibility.
