Independent watchmaker HYT are known well for their interesting and new combinations of colors and materials, like their iconic concept of telling time using liquids. Well, they hit it out of the park this time with the newest member of the Hastroid Collection, the electrifying Hastroid Blue Star.
Fitted with a lightweight magnesium and titanium case, the new blue addition to the watch world carries a metallic electric blue finishing. The crown, too, comes in blue magnesium and black titanium to keep the timepiece light as air. The 43mm watch houses a dial display that does not disappoint. The hours are indicated by two non-miscible liquids with a barrier between them to keep track of the progress every hour. At 6 p.m., the liquids get pushed back to restart their 12-hour journey.
The minutes hand is also blue and black, with a small white tip that makes for a stunning contrast with the black-and-white minute track, which is finished with a blue outline. The power reserve indicator lies to the right of the watch while the left showcases a running seconds display.
The new HYT Hastroid Blue Star is powered by the HYT 501-CM manual movement and offers a 72-hour power reserve. The limited edition is available in 20 pieces worldwide and comes with a black and white rubber strap embossed with black microfiber complemented by blue stitching
