Explore Artistic Horology with Jaquet Droz

Swiss watchmaker Jaquet Droz is renowned globally for its beautiful, aesthetic timepieces. From creative, disruptive watches to expressive symbols of art and time, Jaquet Droz holds the bar very high for fine watchmaking.

Enter the new Tourbillon Skelet Ceramic – Skull Pointillism, a timepiece that embodies Jaquet Droz’s philosophy of the unique. Featuring a pointillist-painted skull, the first watch to use this technique, the new reveal by the maison introduces a whole new artistic lexicon to the world of watchmaking.

The 42mm ceramic case features an open-worked dial that displays the skull painted using pointillism, a technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form an image. The pointillism painting on the skull is brilliant in terms of both volume and color, so close beneath the sapphire crystal that you feel you could touch it.

The dial further features two central hands and a seconds hand at 12 o’clock with their course marked out by the frame of the tourbillon.

Jaquet Droz’ Tourbillon Skelet Ceramic – Skull Pointillism comes equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement that packs a 168-hour power reserve. It sits elegantly on a rubber strap with a folding buckle.
