Hublot’s First Central Tourbillon Is Poetry In Motion

An Only Watch edition, the new Hublot MP-15 Takashi Murakami Tourbillon introduces Hublot’s first central flying tourbillon. A nod to the world of haute horlogerie, Hublot’s representation of floral poetry is brought to life as a 12-petaled daisy inspired by renowned artist Takashi Murakami’s iconic smiling flower.

Hublot fuses art with horological design in the beating heart of the new MP-15 Tourbillon, which houses a 150-hour power reserve—a rarity for such a complex design. The 12 petals come set with 444 gemstones, which create a gradient effect angled toward the center of the movement.

The center itself sits under a sapphire crystal dome. You can see the fine, laser-engraved broad smile of the flower, complete with the two smiling eyes. The energy of the unique piece is further personified with another artistic feat—calligraphy by the master artist himself, which makes it a true collector’s item.
