With your career so intertwined with technology and being “switched on,” how do you unplug and create time and space to be offline outside of working hours?
In our field, being “switched off” seems almost impossible given the constant growth and evolution of technology. However, I’ve found ways to disconnect outside of work hours.
Traveling has been a significant part of it for me. Exploring different regions allows me to immerse myself in diverse cultures, understand people’s customs, and appreciate their way of life. There’s something fascinating about delving into human psychology and the intricacies of history and culture.
But perhaps the most rejuvenating aspect of unplugging is coming home after a long journey and spending quality time with my family. Playing a game of football with my son is a priceless experience—it’s like a live-action adventure that helps me find balance amidst the busyness of work life. Family time definitely plays a crucial role in maintaining that equilibrium.
