MB&F’s HM9 Dons Sapphire

With an engine described as, “the most beautiful movement we’ve created to date” by MB&F founder Maximilian Büsser, the Horological Machine No. 9 dons a transparent sapphire crystal shell in the new HM9 ‘Sapphire Vision’.

Inspired by the automotive and aeronautic designs of the 1940s and 50s, the new HM9 is available in six editions, each limited to only five pieces:

– Two editions with 18K 5N+ red gold frame, combined with a NAC-coated black or PVD-coated blue engine.
– Two editions with 18K white gold frame, featuring a PVD-coated purple or red gold-plated engine.
– Two new 2023 editions, with 18K yellow gold frame, featuring a PVD-coated green engine, or 18K white gold frame, featuring a PVD-coated blue engine.

The case follows a unique assembly process of the three sapphire crystal case parts with a patented three-dimensional gasket and high-tech bonding compound. The hour/minute display on a vertical dial are available in sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment and Super-LumiNova on the numbers and indexes. The HM9 Sapphire Vision editions come equipped with a manual-winding in-house movement. Each version is accompanied by a hand-stitched brown or black alligator strap with red, yellow, or white gold folding buckle matching the case.
