Interconnection has been in CoreSite’s DNA since its early days (as CRG West). One Wilshire® (LA1) in Los Angeles has become an iconic address in global connectivity. Can you share the significance of this location to CoreSite and how you plan to leverage this site as part of the company’s strategy going forward?
One Wilshire is almost a household name in the industry it’s the most interconnected building on the West Coast. When we acquired it in 2001, we had to cut our teeth with interconnection. We created the Any2Exchange, the second-largest peering platform in North America, followed by SV1 in San Jose and CH1 in Chicago. The significance of One Wilshire to CoreSite cannot be overstated. It gave us a deep understanding of carrier hotel operations and positioned us at the forefront of the interconnection space. This foundation has been crucial as we’ve expanded our capabilities to cater to the evolving needs of the digital age.
