Imagine having access to a 100-inch screen that only you can see—and it all fits within a backpack.
Enter the Spacetop, the first venture from Sightful, a company dedicated to moving augmented reality (AR) from hype into immediate and intuitive products.
Pitched as an AR laptop, the lightweight and easily portable Spacetop system involves a pair of glasses that are connected via a wire to a full-size keyboard and touchpad. Whether you’re cozied up in a café or sitting in the middle seat of a long-haul flight, the glasses project all the screen real estate you could ever want and offer unlimited opportunities to customize your workspace to be exactly what you need, wherever you are.
Currently in its early access era—which is limited to 1,000 users—the first version of Spacetop still boasts some impressive technical specs: 5+ hours of battery life, 128GB of storage, a 5MP webcam, and connection via both wifi and built-in 5G. Running on an advanced and highly customized version of an Android operating system, it excels in supporting web-based applications like Google Suite, Microsoft 365, Slack, and Zoom, and so far its only operational limitations seem to be streaming DRM media and running heavy-duty native applications.
The early access version of the Spacetop is 2,150 USD, and you can register your interest here: https://www.sightful.com.
