An exclusive, premium 100% de agave tequila añejo aged in French oak barrels, featuring a dry fruit and light vanilla nose with a balanced cinnamon pepper finish. It is made by California-based Nosotros Tequila. With 40% alcohol, the drink was aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, and it has flavors of fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and pepper.
The tequila also comes in a hand-blown glass bottle that resembles a lightning bolt and comes on a metal stand bearing the Tesla logo. The drink, which Tesla says is best enjoyed as a sipping tequila, cost $250 for a 750ml bottle. It started as an April fool’s joke by Elon Musk in 2018, as he joked about it in a tweet. In October 2018, Tesla officially filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the brand name “Teslaquila” but launched the drink as Tesla Tequila. It sold out within seven hours of its launch on November 5th on Tesla’s online store, but it now available on eBay.
